Account details. If you sign up, we store your email address and sign-in method so you can save bottles and set price alerts.

Saved bottles and alerts. The bottles you save and the price alerts you set, so we can show them back to you and notify you.

Click data. When you click through to a retailer we record which bottle and retailer it was, the price shown, the time, and technical details like your browser type. This is not linked to your name or email.

Searches and voice requests. Searches you type and voice requests are processed to find bottles for you. Voice recordings are turned into text and then discarded — we never store the audio. We keep the text of voice questions anonymously (not linked to your account, name or email) to understand what whisky shoppers look for and improve the service. Please avoid saying personal details. You can ask us to delete a question at any time via the contact details below.

To run the service: show you saved bottles, send price-drop alerts you've asked for, improve search results, and measure how the site is used. We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

We process account data to provide the service you signed up for (contract), and click and usage data on the basis of our legitimate interest in running and improving the service. Where we send you emails beyond the alerts you requested, we will ask for your consent first.

We use a small number of service providers to host the site, store data and send email. They process data only on our instructions. When you click through to a retailer, that retailer's own privacy policy applies to anything you do on their site — we never receive your payment details or purchase details from them.

Account data is kept while your account is active. Click data is kept for up to 24 months for reporting and commission purposes. You can delete your account at any time and we will remove your personal data.

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected or deleted, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

We use a small amount of browser storage to remember that you've confirmed your age and to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
